Esther Nzuzi Phambu, Co-Founder

I am currently pursuing a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at New York University-Tandon. I can pretty much fit my life into two categories. Social Justice & Entrepreneurship. My whole life revolves around Social Justice. Food Justice being my most passionate issue. If I’m not out learning more about the different issues, I’m in NYC mentoring others to become social justice leaders. I own a line of fashionable purses called Purses of Purpose. I never know what to say upfront, people usually discover more about me, the more they get to know me. I guess blogging will help 🙂

I am currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship at NYU. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and I’ve had many ups and downs throughout my childhood. Growing up wasn’t easy and we often moved from place to place. However, my experiences have taught me more than my formal education ever could (sorry NYU). They have made me a more self-sufficient, ambitious, and diligent person. Moving often has taught me how to quickly adjust to new situations and interact with different types of people. I drew inspiration from all of these cultures in many aspects of my life including music and technology. All of this has made me a more creative problem-solver; taking a situation, not immediately getting intimidated by it, considering all possible barriers and outcomes, coming up with solutions and then using brute force as a last resort. I have also become very passionate about social justice, human rights and entrepreneurship. I hope that everything that I do is for the benefit of other people and not just myself.

I am currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Integrated Digital Media at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I am also (according to Esther) now a blogger. I identify as Afro-Caribbean American (originally from Jamaica) and made the move to America for my education and future career opportunities in software development and mobile applications.  I am OBSESSED with Pinterest boards. I love the opportunity to become engaged with something and then creating a board for it to connect with other enthused persons. Feel free to follow me! 😀 At the end of the day, I plan to blog about many different things happening in my life instead of just tech stuff so I hope my life experiences and my passions inspire   you.
